Twin Screen Dvd Players

Philips PET712/05

Philips PET712/05

If there's one thing that incar dvd systems like to convince you of is that their products are 'easy to fit'. So we were sceptical when we investigated the Philips PET712/05 player as the twin 7" screens come with quick-attach headrest pouches.

The idea is you fit the headrest attachments (no screws required) and then the screens slot into these and can be viewed by your passengers - aka the kids. The Philips PET712/05 system works very well and the screens are easy to slide in and out.  This twin screen player has had some really positive feedback on the forums and in reviews too.

So what about the screens? No use being easy to fit if they're naff. You're getting 2x 7" TFT screens at a resolution of 480 x 234. And the quality is very good. That's at a 16:9 screen ratio. They have built in speakers and headphones with individual volume controls.

Controls wise, everything you need to get the latest flick on screen is on the top of the player and is very straight forward. Children won't have any problems using the Philips PET712/05 DVD player.

The only thing left to decide is who gets to pick which film is going on first, and what happens if you've got 3 children!? But this is a great little DVD system for anyone who wants a fast and cheap way to get twin screens in the back of their motor.

Mustek Viewfun PD77 Dual Screen DVD Player Review

It's fun to share. Well, unless you're watching movies - then it's much more fun to have your own screen. The Viewfun PF77 offers two in-car DVD screens that play the exact same image on both screens.

It's a great way to share movies and tunes on long journeys. And it's definitely suitable for kids, as the screens are well made and the buttons all feel sturdy.

This car DVD kit comes with everything you'll need to mount the players on the back of any car seat, thanks to the universal mounts. So this is ideal if you want something that you can take with you and to keep the little ones from asking 'are we there yet?' and punching each other. There's even two headphone jacks for extra quiet in the back.

The PD77 will play any disks you throw at it - regular DVDs, CDs and any kind of recordable DVD. And it will play your DivX movies too. There's no battery so the player won't need charging, and comes with both a car adapter and a mains adapter.

We'd recommend this one for families and the price tag makes it budget friendly. This niftly little in-car player will set you back around the £130 mark. Which is pretty good considering there's an extra screen included. Both sound and quality are very respectable so definitely check this one out if you're looking for a cheap car DVD player that delivery great quality.
